Kahilu Theatre is proud to present the Waimea Community Chorus Tribute to Elton John livestreaming, on Sunday, May 23, 2021, at 4:00pm HST.
The Waimea Community Chorus (WCC) will celebrate the musical career of Sir Elton John with a choral tribute to his incredible work. The show will open with his 1970 hit “Your Song” which is in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and close with his 2019 Academy Award Winning song “I’m Gonna Love Me Again”. The chorus members have been amazed to learn of the numerous awards Sir Elton John has received, including, but not limited to: being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, two Academy Awards, five Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, two Golden Globe, a Tony, a Disney Legend and a Billboard Tour Award. Over the course of his career he has produced 30 albums with lyricist Bernie Taupin, as well as 10 soundtrack albums for stage musicals. WCC will brighten up the Kahilu stage as they embody the spirit of this prolific English composer, singer, and pianist.
