Don May is a Texas born, award-winning Americana singer/songwriter living in the up-country town of Kamuela, on Hawai'i Island. A veteran of the world-famous Austin, Texas music scene, Don’s songs "reflect the grit and emotional honesty of the Texas troubadour tradition and the detailed craftsmanship of Nashville's finest". As a staff writer for Sony/ATV, JENCO music publishing and most recently CURB/WORD music publishing in Nashville, Don has honed his songwriting by working alongside many of the most successful songwriters and record producers in the world. He is currently putting the final touches on six songs that he plans to release over the next year.
Minneapolis and St. Louis native, Sarah Bethany, began playing the piano at age seven. She continued her classical studies at the University of Missouri Kansas City Conservatory of Music, where she discovered an attraction to experimental electronic music composition as well as a love of jazz, hip hop, and reggae music. Sarah’s extensive advanced vocal studies led her to the music of Rachelle Ferrell and Lalah Hathaway, two of Bethany's most influential vocalists. Sarah B. has won two of Hawai'i's prestigious Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and, performed with Kenny Loggins as well as several Grammy Award winning artists including John Cruz. Her voice has been heard on many radio stations as a session singer and piano player for numerous albums.
As the former lead singer for East Coast reggae rockers Tsunami Rising, Drew Daniels is a seasoned musician whose meaningful lyrics reverberate through his fusions of punk, folk, reggae, hip hop, blues, and soul. Drew toured the US continent several times, released three albums, and even toured Ireland. Through music, Drew has been able to channel angsty and aggressive emotions regarding big-picture socio-political issues into compelling music. As a teen, Drew was attracted to the ska scene thriving in hole-in-the-wall clubs and church basements in Philadelphia. Ska, the music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1950’s, was precursor to rocksteady and reggae, and it carried messages of unity and anti-racism that resonated with Drew. He decided to liquidate his assets to realize a long-sought dream of moving to Hawai‘i with his soulmate. They purchased a piece of land within an intentional farming community where Drew built an off-grid cabin. In the summer of 2018, Kīlauea’s Fissure Eight eruption advanced towards his backyard, and covered his home with 30 feet of lava. One year after this loss, Drew returned home with a resilient anthem entitled “Get Back Up,” featuring a choir sourced internationally and vocals from his local music scene.
